Beauty Technology

6 months

Facials

A facial is a comprehensive skincare procedure that encompasses a range of treatments, including cleansing, steaming, exfoliation, extractions, facial massage, and the application of masks.

Tinting and Shaping

Eyebrow and lash tinting enhances colour for fuller, thicker features, while shaping the eyebrows creates a polished, well-balanced look that elevates the client’s appearance.

Waxing

A technique used to temporarily remove unwanted hair.

Manicure

Cosmetic treatment of the hands involving nail shaping, cuticle work, and painting of the nails.

Pedicure

A cosmetic treatment of the feet and toenails involving nail shaping, cuticle work smoothing of hard calloused skin and painting of the nails.

Health and Safety

This module teaches participants to prevent infection and infestation in salons, equipping them with practices to protect themselves and clients from contamination risks.

Deportment

The Deportment module prepares learners for careers by emphasizing professional conduct and effective self-presentation in the workplace.

Consultation

This module emphasizes building strong client relationships through mutual respect and trust while equipping participants with strategies to enhance the spa experience and foster client satisfaction and loyalty.

Business Management

Business Management is the coordination and organisation of business activities. This includes the production of materials, machines, and money, and involves both marketing and innovation.

Fundamentals

Underpinning principles and knowledge of business management, and commerce focusing on small to medium spas or salons.

Massage Technology

Swedish Massage

Swedish massage is a traditional technique that manipulates soft tissues to promote relaxation and relieve muscle pain and tension.

Indian Head Massage

This course, based on ancient Ayurvedic techniques, teaches participants various massage movements to relieve muscle tension, improve blood circulation, and restore joint mobility in the upper back, shoulders, neck, scalp, and face.

Hot Stone Massage

This massage technique employs heated basalt lava stones to warm and massage muscles, offering deeper pressure than traditional Swedish massage and incorporating both hot and cold stones for therapeutic benefits.

Stress Massage

Stress Relief Massage effectively alleviates muscle tension, allowing soft tissues to function more efficiently by releasing tension and “knots.”

Infant Massage

Infant massage, a traditional practice from India, promotes growth and development while enhancing sleep quality and strengthening the immune system.

Lomi-Lomi/ Hawaiian Massage
